Bearing Tech Info

DAIDO METAL BEARING MATERIALS

Daido Metal produces all of its own bearing & bushing materials (bimetal), many of which are unique in the marketplace and patented. We produce aluminum, copper, leaded, PTFE and many other different materials.

Daido Metal studies each application in detail and chooses the most appropriate material based on our expertise from the perspective of fatigue strength, seizure rresistance, embedability performance, corrosion protection and wear.

DAIDO METAL PRECISION MACHINING

Daido Metal produces hundreds of millions of bearings and bushings, with manufacturing in North America, Europe & Asia. Our plants are ISO9001 & IATF 16949 certified.

Our process and quality controls exceed OEM quality requirements; all products for all customers are produced to our exacting standards.

Daido's proprietary manufacturing methods result in precision down to 1µm (0.000039")

DAIDO METAL ANALYSIS TECHNOLOGY

In order to propose the most suitable bearing for the customer,
it is important to accurately predict the conditions to which the bearing will be exposed by theoretically calculating the oil film pressure applied to the bearing etc.

By utilizing various analysis software such as EHL, FEM, CFD, etc., it is possible to design an optimum bearing that will not cause bearing damage. This also contributes to shortening the development period.

Analysis engineers and application engineers are located not only in Japan, Europe and North America to respond to local customer needs.

DAIDO METAL SURFACE TREATMENTS / COATINGS

In some cases, surface treatments provide a benefit to bearing performance. Daido's advanced surface coatings are applied when necessary to optimize bearing performance.

Daido Metal has developed a variety of polymer, bismuth and molybdenum surface coatings which can be applied in our global plants for both high volume mass production and racing or specialty bearings.

Daido Metal is continually developing overlays and improving production methods, and has established a surface treatment technology for creating uniform, highly precise films.
