Which bearing series is right for me?
In general;
A-Series is for replacement/mild performance and prioritizes durability. The same advanced bimetal materials are used in high performance engines like Hellcat and Scorpion.
K-Series is a classic leaded material for applications where durability and seizure resistance are important.
V-series is a special lead-indium material with enhanced conformability and a high melting point which is suitable for racing engines. This material may not be appropriate for a street engine.
If you are unsure, please ask us.
Do you offer Babbitt bearings?
Daido Metal no longer produces babbitt material. Babbitt has waned in popularity and is no longer used in production automotive engines due to it containing lead and other materials surpassing its performance while also being less costly to produce.
For cam bushings rod bearing and main bearings Daido has unique materials which exhibit superior performance to babbitt.
